MPD Reports: Complaint of children throwing snowballs in the streets

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Feb. 6 – 13, 2020. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Dispute – Tanglewood Ln. Two subjects involved in a verbal dispute. One subject was gone prior to officers’ arrival. 
  • Dispute – Wheel House Lane: In reference to two subjects in a verbal argument over living arrangements. Situation mediated and parties separated. Explained the Civil process.
  • Dispute – Wheelhouse lane. In reference to complainant advising that subject was moving out and driving a gray Nissan vehicle and possibly under the influence of medication.
  • Dispute – W. Spring St. (Haven Inn): Dispute over a civil issue. Issue resolved. Parties escorted off the property.
  • Suspicious Person – N. Broad St. at J&B Foodmart in reference to a subject attempting to purchase beer. Gone on arrival. Clerk advised to call if the subject returns.
  • Theft – S. Madison Ave.: In reference to complainant misplacing her wallet. A report was taken.
  • Follow up – Bridgeport Ln. In reference to a previous theft case of son’s sim card. Explained options to subject.
  • Runaway Juvenile – Rose Ison Ter.: In reference to a 13-year-old male who left the residence without permission. The subject was placed on GCIC, and a CHINS report was submitted. Juvenile later returned and was removed from GCIC.
  • Suspicious Person – Millage Ave. In reference to a white male with a flashlight looking through windows. Contact was made with the who stated he was looking for his girlfriend to give her a ride to work. He had the wrong location. All Okay.
  • Suicide Attempt – Birch St. – In reference to a subject advising family he was going to attempt suicide. Contact made with the subject who was passed out on the couch with a knife in his hand. Who was transported to Piedmont Walton by EMS.
  • Welfare Check – Meadow Walk Dr. – In reference to a lady on the line crying about her granddaughter and not making sense. The complainant could not find her 30-year-old granddaughter. Complainant’s son was contacted and he came over.
  • 911 Hang up – Plantation Dr. in reference to 911 hang up. No one answered the door to the residence. There was a strong odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the residence.
  • Dispute – Booth Dr.: in reference to someone trying to kick the front door in. Two parties got into a verbal argument and male subject locked female subject out of the house. Third-party attempted to kick the door in so his sister can get in.
  • Warrant Attempt – Bridgeport Lane: In reference to a subject having a warrant for terrorist threats out of Walton County Sheriff’s Office. He was placed under arrest and was transported to WCSO.
  • Juvenile Complaint – Carwood Dr. – in reference to children throwing snowballs in the street. advised to not do so.
  • Harassment – Turner St. – In reference to subject sending complainant harassing text messages.
  • Harassment – W. Marable in reference to Harassing communications report for complainant. Report was taken.
  • Mental Patient – S. Madison Ave. In reference to a mental patient becoming combative. Turned over to EMS.
  • Juvenile Complaint – Alcovy St. – In reference to a resident having issues with her 16-year-old daughter. Advised on options.
  • Dispute – N. Broad St. in reference to 911 call taker heard two people yelling at each other. Employee of Food Mart stated the subject left the scene and he was arguing with him.
  • Dispute – Shamrock Dr. in reference to the complainant was arguing with her daughter.
  • Meet With – Tall Oaks Dr./ Tall Oaks E.: In reference to a subject a having question in regards to a good behavior bond,
