A celebration for artist and author Mary Ellen Vogel’s launch of her book on the history of the Monroe-Walton Center for the Arts. It is the story of how the founders and community came together to form the Monroe Art Guild that later became the Monroe-Walton Center for the Arts. This book is now on sale at the arts center and Amazon for $7.99. All profits benefit the MWCA

Mary Ellen’s interest is in nonfiction, memoir, and poetry. She has published in Sea Stories .org part of the Blue Ocean Institute and Confluence, a literary magazine. She is a watercolorist who adores the MWCA, so writing this history was a labor of love. She lives in Oxford with her husband Denis where they care for a colony of feral cats.
