It’s time for the Memories in Monroe Annual Classic Car Show downtown. This award-winning event will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday, March 16, in historic downtown Monroe. Participants come from all over the state of Georgia as the streets are crowded with car enthusiasts. All Cars participating in the show must be registered and will set up on Court Street, Midland Avenue, and Washington Street near the Historic Walton County Courthouse. The cost is $20 per car. There is no cost to stroll through the streets and view these classic showpieces.
Contestants and guests alike will be able to enjoy classic rock and roll by Cruzin to the Oldies DJ Tommy Landrum and restaurants will be serving both breakfast and lunch at the food court. There also will be vendors selling related products.
In case of rain, the car show will be moved to Saturday, March 23rd. However, at this time there is no expectation of rain, but it is expected to be a little chilly so you may want to dress warmly. It is expected to be just 42 degrees when registration begins at 8 am and only up to 43 degrees when it opens to the public.
