Breaking: Deaton’s Gun Shop in Loganville burglarized

Suspects got away with several thousand dollars worth of weapons

Deaton’s Gun Shop in Loganville was burglarized Saturday morning.

“Two males used a vehicle to knock a hole into the Wall of Deaton’s Gun Shop at about 6 a.m.,” said Loganville public information officer Robbie Schwartz. “The suspect reportedly stole five handguns and four rifles valued at several thousand dollars. The suspects were wearing gloves and masks.”

Loganville Police Chief Mike McHugh said the suspects drove the vehicle through the front and over the metal pole barriers.

“Our detectives are working on id’ing the suspects,” McHugh said.

“This remains an active investigation and no other information is available at this time,” Schwartz said. If anyone has any information they are asked to contact Detective Kennard with the City of Loganville Police Department.

Video surveillance will likely be available after the long weekend.

In April last year 3X Gun Shop in Loganville was burglarized in a similar way during a series of gun heists.
