Breaking: Monroe Fire Department and Walton County Fire Rescue were dispatched to a house fire at 772 Nicholas Court in the Golfview subdivision in Monroe at 4:12 a.m. Monday morning, according to Capt. Jack Armstrong with MFD.
“Two adults and and three children were displaced and are receiving assistance from The Red Cross,” Armstrong said. “Investigators are still on scene looking for the cause.”
Armstrong said fire crews were able to stop the fire but the home is likely to be considered a severe or total loss due to smoke and fire damage. No injuries were reported.
