Breaking: Georgia SOS Raffensperger announces a full manual hand count of all ballots cast in Georgia in the Presidential Election

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has announced a full recount of Georgia counties for the presidential race. This will take place as soon as all counties have certified their results. At this time, 97 counties have certified their results with 14,111 votes separating Vice President Joe Biden and President Donald Trump in Biden’s favor.

Raffensperger said the office will check to make sure that all legal votes are counted and will looking into any allegations of ” double voting, felon voting, people voting out of state.”

“Every legal vote will be counted,” Raffensperger said in a press release.

In addition, the statewide runoffs scheduled for Dec. 1 and Jan. 5 will be run together in the interest of time.

“This will protect both and have the added benefit of saving taxpayers millions of dollars,” Raffensperger said. “It is an audit, a re-canvas and a recount all in one.”

The following runoff elections will now be held on Jan. 5, 2021. Voters who are not yet registered and wish to vote in the runoff elections have until Dec. 7, 2020 to register to vote.
