Breaking: Gwinnett PD investigating an overnight motorcycle fatality in the Loganville area

(Loganville, Georgia)  The Gwinnett County Police Department Accident Investigation Unit is investigating a collision that happened in the Loganville area at about 9:45 p.m. on Thursday evening resulting in the death of a motorcycle driver. Dwight Fahrenthold, 35, was transported to a local hospital where he ultimately died as a result of his injuries.

GCPD report that the preliminary investigation reveals that Fahrenthold was traveling south on Chandler Road as he approached the Ozora Road intersection on a black 2007 motorcycle. He slid past the stop sign and into the intersection as the driver of an orange 2008 Honda Element was traveling west on Ozora Road. The vehicles collided and the motorcycle dropped onto its side and hit the side of a black 2007 Toyota Tundra that was traveling east on Ozora Road.

All vehicles involved were impounded to GCPD for further analysis. Fahrenthold’s next-of-kin have been notified.
