Breaking: Head-on collision in Loganville New Year’s eve sends one to the hospital

A head-on collision in Loganville on New Year’s eve sent one patient to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries according to officials from the City of Loganville. Spokesman Robbie Schwartz reported that two eastbound lanes in front of Kellie’s on Highway 78 were shut down for a time.

Officials with Georgia State Patrol are urging motorists to be extra cautious on roads this holiday travel period due to a larger than usual number of vehicles expected to be on the roads. The New Year’s Eve travel period began at 6 p.m. tonight and continues until 11:59 on Jan. 1, 2020.
