Monroe Police Department is seeking information on a suspect who is accused of robbing O’Reilly’s Auto Parts at gunpoint on Friday night. Police responded to the call at 9:40 p.m. Friday night.
According to Monroe Public Safety Director Keith Glass, employees reported that a black male dressed in all black – wearing a black hoodie, black sunglasses, black gloves, dark sweat pants and black shoes walked into the store on Friday evening. He said employees were alarmed because they had been advised by corporate to be on the lookout for someone matching that description who had robbed the O’Reilly store in Lawrenceville back in December. The employee told police that the man walked to the back of the store and then came to the counter with two bottles of Armor All cleaner. He placed the bottles on the cash register before brandishing a black handgun and ordering the cashier to open the register. He then left the store, taking the cash with him.
Glass said leads are being developed. If you have any information about this crime you are asked to contact Det. Holbrooks at firstname.lastname@example.org or 770-296-2218.
