Office will be closed for a day to clean and decontaminate
Monroe, GA – On Sunday, Sept. 13, 2020, Clerk of Superior Court Karen David announced the closing of the Clerk of Superior Court’s Office due to positive COVID-19 testing.
According to a press release, the office will be cleaned and properly decontaminated just for one day, Monday, Sept. 14. It will reopen the following day to resume business as usual. Residents are urged to continue to use the e-file system to file any necessary paperwork during this closure.
“Although there is no reason to believe that those conducting business at these Walton County Government Offices have been exposed, the Georgia Department of Public Health will be conducting contact tracing and notifying any individuals of possible exposure. Walton County continues to make the safety of the County’s citizens and employees its top priority during this time,” Public information officer Patrice Broughton noted in the press release.
Broughton said they have just had one person test positive at this time and that is only in the offices of the clerk of the Superior Court.
