Clarence Odum Road bridge to open to traffic early June

Exact dates are not yet given due to the uncertainty of the weather, but the Georgia Department of Transportation is advising that they expect the bridge on Clarence Odum Road over the Shoal Creek tributary to be back open to traffic by early next month. The road was closed on March 9 in order to replace the bridge. The previous bridge structure was deficient due to pitting and corrosion on steel caps and had no approach guardrail or handrail.

In the meantime, the detour continues via Dry Pond Road, Shoal Creek Road, and Daniel Cemetery Road as detailed below.
