In addition to the costs of intensive hospitalization, he will also face significant medical costs for rehabilitative services during his recovery,” Morris Lowry noted on the GoFundMe Account. Showalter served his nation as a Soldier in the U.S. Army and has been a career law enforcement officer for more than 30 years service. “He is loved and respected by his fellow officers and his community.
We are raising funds to assist his family with these unexpected medical expenses as well as anything else they may need to assist in his recovery. All donations will go directly to his family. His family and his Brothers and Sisters at the Loganville Police Department greatly appreciate your support.”

Showalter’s daughter, Brittany DeGuilbert, has a post that she regularly updates with her father’s condition and progress. The post is pinned to the top of the Loganville Local Facebook page. There also is a collection point being set up for meal gift cards for the family.
