The Corner’s Edge Butcher Shoppe is hoping to be back up and running in its new location sooner than expected.
“We got the building quicker than we anticipated and we expect to be open no later than May 1, but hoping for sooner if possible,” said Richard Bolson who manages the butcher shop. “We’re in the process of permitting.”
Bolson said after 20 years of being at the same location at the corner of highways 78 and 20, the building was sold and the new owner gave the occupants of the building 60 days to move out. Jan. 24, 2017 was the last day of operation at the old location. However, they were able to find alternative premises at Faith Crossing in Suite 89, the shop previously occupied by Partyland.
“I think everybody will be happy with the new location. It’s a little bigger than what we had. We’ve brought some new equipment, some new meat cases,” Bolson said, adding that there should also be improved access with a red light. “It will be easier and safer than our old location.”
The store will keep the name Corner’s Edge Butcher Shoppe as is technically the corner shop strip mall at the back of Faith Crossing, the center across Highway 78 from the Lowe’s Shopping Center.
Corner’s Edge Butcher Shoppe is a full service butcher offering a line of beef, pork, chicken, venison, bison and seafood.
