23 cases reported in Walton County – two deaths reported at this time
The Georgia Department of Health is reporting two deaths in Walton County. According to the statistics reported at noon on Monday, April 5, 2020, the person who did not survive COVID-19 is a 75-year-old male. The second death is reported as a 74-year-old male. It is unknown if either had any underlying conditions. At noon on Monday, Georgia was reporting 229 deaths with 7314 confirmed cases and 1332 hospitalized with COVID-19.
Walton County now has 23 reported cases and two death. Gwinnett County now is reporting 443 cases with 10 deaths so far from COVID-19. Five of the deaths are men and five are women, all over 65 years of age.
On this current trend, if we are not able to flatten the curve Georgia is projected to peak on April 24 with 96 deaths a day due to COVID-19.
