COVID-19: Georgia 109; Gwinnett 3; Walton 0 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2020. Gwinnett County is reporting three more deaths and Walton County is reporting no more deaths in the past 24 hours. Georgia is reporting 109 more deaths and 3,660 more cases in the last 24 hours. 

Walton County

Cases – 1,188 – 35 in the past 24 hours and 327 in the last two weeks.
Cases per 100,000 – 1240
Total deaths – 39 – that’s no more deaths reported over the past 24 hours
Hospitalized – 130 – That’s 4 more hospitalizations reported in the past 24 hours. 

Gwinnett County

Cases – 20,685 – that’s 303 reported in the past 24 hours 3,969 more cases reported in the past two weeks
Cases per 100,000 – 2,130
Total deaths – 275 – That’s 3 more deaths reported in the last 24 hours
Hospitalized – 2,190 – that’s 23 more reported in the past 24 hours

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 226,153 – that is 3,660 more cases reported in the past 24 hours 
ICU admissions – 3,929 – That’s more ICU admissions in the past 24 hours Hospitalizations – 21,379 That’s 348 more hospitalizations reported in the past 24 hours
Total deaths – 4,456 – That is 109 more death reported in the past 24 hours

A total of 1,916,742 viral tests have been performed and 245,877 antibody tests. That is 21,257 viral test results reported in the last 24 hours. Of the viral tests performed collectively, 206,894 (10.8 %) have come back positive and 17,025 (6.9 %) antibody tests have come back positive.

Magnolia Senior Living – Loganville – (Gwinnett County) has 1 staff member who has tested positive

Park Place, Monroe – 90 confirmed resident cases, 34 confirmed staff cases, 23 deaths reported – that is no more staff member to test positive in the past 24 hours
The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 23 confirmed resident cases, four deaths – 12 recovered – That’s no more confirmed case in the past 24 hours
The Retreat at Loganville: two confirmed resident case, one reported recovered, two staff cases, no deaths – That’s no more confirmed case in the past 24 hours

Hollander Senior Living, Monroe, 1 confirmed staff case, no deaths – That’s no more staff cases reported in past 24 hours

Social Circle Nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that 8 residents and 9 staff members tested positive for COVID-19 and one resident death was reported. That is no more residents and 3 more staff members reported positive in the past 24 hours.
