COVID-19: Georgia 15: Gwinnett 2: Walton 0 deaths reported in the past 24 hours

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 2, 2020. Gwinnett County is reporting two more deaths and Walton County is reporting no more deaths in the past 24 hours. Georgia is reporting 15 more deaths and 43,172 more cases in the last 24 hours. 

Walton County

Cases – 955 – 40 in the past 24 hours and 312 in the last two weeks.
Cases per 100,000 – 955
Total deaths – 34 – that’s no more deaths reported over the past 24 hours
Hospitalized – 105

Gwinnett County

Cases – 17,781 – that’s 4,077 more cases reported in the past two weeks
Cases per 100,000 – 1,831
Total deaths – 240 – That’s two more in the last 24 hours
Hospitalized – 1,996

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 193,177 – that is 3,172 more cases reported in the past 24 hours
ICU admissions – 1,497 3,354 – that’s 143 more reported in the past 24 hours Hospitalizations – 10,064 – That’s 69 more hospitalizations reported in the past 24 hours
Total deaths – 3,840 – That is 15 more death reported in the past 24 hours

A total of 1,624 viral tests have been performed and 227,358 antibody tests. That is 28,555 viral test results reported in the last 24 hours. Of the viral tests performed collectively, 177,680 (10.9 %) have come back positive and 14,823 (6.5 %) antibody tests have come back positive.

Great Oak, Monroe – 2 staff members and 1 resident at Great Oaks is reported in the past 24 hours as testing positive

Magnolia Senior Living – Loganville – (Gwinnett County) has 1 staff member who has tested positive

Park Place, Monroe – 90 confirmed resident cases, 34 confirmed staff cases, 23 deaths reported – that is no more staff member to test positive in the past 24 hours
The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 21 confirmed resident cases, four deaths 
The Retreat at Loganville: one confirmed resident case, one reported recovered, two staff cases, no deaths

Hollander Senior Living, Monroe, one confirmed staff case, no deaths

Social Circle Nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that 7 residents and 4 staff members tested positive for COVID-19, that is 6 residents and 3 staff members reported as testing positive in the past 24 hours
