COVID-19: Georgia 18; Gwinnett 2; Walton 0 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2020. Gwinnett County is reporting two more deaths and Walton County is reporting no more deaths in the past 24 hours. Georgia is reporting 18 more deaths and 1,174 cases in the past 24 hours. 

Walton County

Cases – 2,092– 28 reported in the past 24 hours – 167 in the past 2 weeks .
Cases per 100,000 – 2,183 cumulative (174 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks
Total deaths – 66 – that’s 0 more deaths reported over the past 24 hours (deaths per 100,000 is 68.9)
Testing 8.6 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 9.9 % 

Gwinnett County

Cases – 29,7866 – that’s 118 reported over the past 24 hours (1,348 in the past 2 weeks).
Cases per 100,000 – 3,075 cumulative (139 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 436 – That’s 2 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours (44.7 deaths per 100,000 reported)
Testing – 5.3 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 10.1 %

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 342,438 – that is 1,174 more cases reported in the past 24 hours
ICU admissions –5,701 – 36 more admissions reported in the past 24 hours Hospitalizations – 30,541 – That’s 18 more hospitalizations reported in the past 24 hours, 
Total deaths – 7,674 – That is 18 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours

A total of 3,327,836 viral tests have been performed and 330,265 antibody tests. That is 13,557 viral test results reported in the last 24 hours. Of the viral tests performed collectively, 329,414 (9.6 %) have come back positive and 28,073 (8.8%) antibody tests have come back positive. Today 983 (7.3 %) viral tests came back positive.

Walton County Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities (cumulative) No more deaths reported in Walton County nursing homes or assisted living facilities for several weeks.

Great Oak, Monroe – 2 staff members and 1 resident (1 resident reported recovered) at Great Oaks – no deaths reported

Hollander Senior Living, Monroe, 1 confirmed staff case, no deaths – That’s no more staff cases reported in past 24 hours

Magnolia Senior Living – Loganville – (Gwinnett County) has 1 staff member who has tested positive 

Park Place, Monroe – 90 confirmed resident cases, 34 confirmed staff cases, 23 deaths reported  
The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 23 confirmed resident cases, four deaths – 19 recovered – 1 staff member  
The Retreat at Loganville: three confirmed resident case, three reported recovered, two staff cases, no deaths 

Social Circle Nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that 23 residents and 13 staff members tested positive for COVID-19 and two resident death were reported.
