COVID-19: Georgia 19; Gwinnett 2; Walton County 0 more deaths in the past 24 hours

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020. Gwinnett County is reporting two more deaths and Walton County is reporting no more deaths in the past 24 hours. Georgia is reporting 19 more deaths and 1,331 cases in the past 24 hours. 

Walton County

Cases – 1,999 – 15 reported in the past 24 hours – 138 in the past 2 weeks .
Cases per 100,000 – 2,086 cumulative (144 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks
Total deaths – 63 – that’s 0 more death reported over the past 24 hours (deaths per 100,000 is 65.8)
Testing 8.4 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 10.0 % 

Gwinnett County

Cases – 29,157 – that’s 142 reported over the past 24 hours (1,233 in the past 2 weeks).
Cases per 100,000 – 3,002 cumulative (127 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 427 – That’s 2 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours (44 deaths per 100,000 reported)
Testing – 4.8 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 10.3 %

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 334,601 – that is 1,331 more cases reported in the past 24 hours
ICU admissions –5,546 – that is 23 more admissions reported in the past 24 hours Hospitalizations – 29,918 – That’s 156 more hospitalizations reported in the past 24 hours, 
Total deaths – 7,470 – That is 19 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours

A total of 3,204,308 viral tests have been performed and 313,858 antibody tests. That is 23,760 viral test results reported in the last 24 hours. Of the viral tests performed collectively, 312,932 (9.8 %) have come back positive and 27,039 (8.6%) antibody tests have come back positive. Today 892 (3.8 %) viral tests came back positive.

Walton County Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities (cumulative) No more deaths reported in Walton County nursing homes or assisted living facilities for several weeks.

Gardens of Social Circle – 3 staff members and 2 residents have tested positive. No deaths reported. 

Great Oak, Monroe – 2 staff members and 1 resident (1 resident reported recovered) at Great Oaks – no deaths reported

Hollander Senior Living, Monroe, 1 confirmed staff case, no deaths – That’s no more staff cases reported in past 24 hours

Magnolia Senior Living – Loganville – (Gwinnett County) has 1 staff member who has tested positive 

Park Place, Monroe – 90 confirmed resident cases, 34 confirmed staff cases, 23 deaths reported  
The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 23 confirmed resident cases, four deaths – 19 recovered 
The Retreat at Loganville: three confirmed resident case, three reported recovered, two staff cases, no deaths 

Social Circle Nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that 23 residents and 13 staff members tested positive for COVID-19 and two resident death were reported.
