COVID-19: Georgia 42: Gwinnett 3, Walton 2 deaths reported in the past 24

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2020. Gwinnett County is reporting three more deaths and Walton County is reporting two more deaths in the past 24 hours. Georgia is reporting 42 more deaths and 3,250 more cases in the last 24 hours. 

Walton County

Cases – 1044 – 24 in the past 24 hours and 320 in the last two weeks.
Cases per 100,000 – 1090
Total deaths – 39 – that’s two more deaths reported over the past 24 hours
Hospitalized – 115 – That’s 2 more hospitalizations reported in the past 24 hours. 

Gwinnett County

Cases – 18,854 – that’s 304 reported in the past 24 hours 4,142 more cases reported in the past two weeks
Cases per 100,000 – 1,941
Total deaths – 244 – That’s 3 more death in the last 24 hours
Hospitalized – 2077 – that’s 14 more reported in the past 24 hours

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 204,895 – that is 3,250 more cases reported in the past 24 hours
ICU admissions – 3,647 – That’s 91 more ICU admissions in the past 24 hours Hospitalizations – 20,002 That’s 214 more hospitalizations reported in the past 24 hours
Total deaths – 4,026 – That is 42 more death reported in the past 24 hours

A total of 1,724,76 viral tests have been performed and 234,055 antibody tests. That is 29,534 viral test results reported in the last 24 hours. Of the viral tests performed collectively, 188,995 (11 %) have come back positive and 15,596 (6.7 %) antibody tests have come back positive.

Great Oak, Monroe – 2 staff members and 1 resident at Great Oaks is reported in the past 24 hours as testing positive

Magnolia Senior Living – Loganville – (Gwinnett County) has 1 staff member who has tested positive

Park Place, Monroe – 90 confirmed resident cases, 34 confirmed staff cases, 23 deaths reported – that is no more staff member to test positive in the past 24 hours
The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 23 confirmed resident cases, four deaths – 12 recovered – That’s one more confirmed case in the past 24 hours
The Retreat at Loganville: two confirmed resident case, one reported recovered, two staff cases, no deaths – That’s one more confirmed case in the past 24 hours

Hollander Senior Living, Monroe, 3 confirmed staff case, no deaths – That’s two more staff cases reported in past 24 hours

Social Circle Nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that 8 residents and 6 staff members tested positive for COVID-19 and one resident death was reported. That is 1 more residents and 2 more staff members reported positive in the past 24 hours.
