COVID-19: Georgia 47, Gwinnett 3, Walton 2, deaths in the last 24 hours

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health at 3  p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2020. Gwinnett County is reporting three more deaths and Walton County is reporting two more deaths in the past 24 hours. Georgia is reporting 47 more deaths and 1,707 new cases in the past 24 hours.

Walton County’s 26 deaths reported to date include 14 males and 14 females. All but one of the victims were over 60 and six of them were over 90. One woman and three men were African American and the other 24 were caucasian.

Walton County

Cases –371 – That 10 more cases in the past 24 hours
Cases per 100,000 –387.2
Total deaths – 28 – that’s two more death reported in the past 24 hours
Hospitalized – 56 – that’s one more hospitalization in the past 24 hours

Walton County Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities (cumulative) No more deaths reported in Walton County nursing homes or assisted living facilities in the last 24 years.

Park Place, Monroe – 98 confirmed resident cases, 33 confirmed staff cases, 23 deaths reported – that is no more death reported and eight more cases reported in past 24 hours
The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 13 confirmed resident cases, four deaths
The Retreat at Loganville: one confirmed resident case, one reported recovered no staff cases, no deaths

Social Circle nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that resident tested positive for COVID-19, no deaths and one person recovered. It is reporting that 26 of the 56 residents have been tested.

Gwinnett County

Cases – 7,223 – that’s 187 new cases reported in the past 24 hours
Cases per 100,000 – 743.8
Total deaths – 167 – that’s three more deaths reported in the past 24 hours
Hospitalized – 950 – That is 28 more hospitalizations reported in the last 24 hours

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 71,095 – that is 1,714 more cases reported in the past 24 hours
ICU admissions – 2,222 – that’s 16 more reported in the past 24 hours
Hospitalizations – 10,457 – That’s 144 more hospitalizations reported in the past 24 hours
Total deaths – 2,745 – That is 47 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours.
