COVID-19: Georgia 56; Gwinnett 2; Walton 0 deaths in the last 24 hours

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2020. Gwinnett County is reporting two more death and Walton County is reporting no more deaths in the past 24 hours. Georgia is reporting 56 more deaths and 2,391 more cases in the last 24 hours. 

Walton County

Cases – 1,309 – 15 in the past 24 hours and 297 in the last two weeks.
Cases per 100,000 – 1,366 cumulative (315 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 43 – that’s no more deaths reported over the past 24 hours (deaths per 100,000 44.9)
Testing 11.9 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 10.6 % 

Gwinnett County

Cases – 22,196 – that’s 260 reported in the past 24 hours 
Cases per 100,000 – 2,286 cumulative (350 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 295 – That’s 2 more death reported in the last 24 hours (30. deaths per 100,000)
Testing – 10.3% positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 12.3 %

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 243,982 – that is 2,391 more cases reported in the past 24 hours
ICU admissions – 4,143 – That’s 82 more ICU admissions in the past 48 hours Hospitalizations – 22,664 That’s 235 more hospitalizations reported in the past 24 hours, 
Total deaths – 4,849 – That is 56 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours

A total of 2,075,697 viral tests have been performed and 259,422 antibody tests. That is 15,378 viral test results reported in the last 24 hours. Of the viral tests performed collectively, 221,593 (10.7 %) have come back positive and 18,600 (7.2%) antibody tests have come back positive. Today, 10.4 % came back positive.

Magnolia Senior Living – Loganville – (Gwinnett County) has 1 staff member who has tested positive

Park Place, Monroe – 90 confirmed resident cases, 34 confirmed staff cases, 23 deaths reported – that is no more staff member to test positive in the past 24 hours
The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 23 confirmed resident cases, four deaths – 16 recovered – That’s no more confirmed case in the past 24 hours
The Retreat at Loganville: two confirmed resident case, one reported recovered, two staff cases, no deaths – That’s no more confirmed case in the past 24 hours

Hollander Senior Living, Monroe, 1 confirmed staff case, no deaths – That’s no more staff cases reported in past 24 hours

Social Circle Nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that 10 residents and 9 staff members tested positive for COVID-19 and one resident death was reported. That is one more residents and no more staff members reported positive in the past 24 hours.
