COVID-19: Georgia 56; Gwinnett 2; Walton 1 more death reported over the weekend

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2020. Gwinnett County is reporting two more deaths and Walton County is reporting one more death in the past 48 hours. Georgia is reporting 56 more deaths and 2,291 cases in the past 48 hours. 

Walton County

Cases – 1,867 – 17 reported in the past 48 hours – 109 in the past 2 weeks .
Cases per 100,000 – 1,949 cumulative (114 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks
Total deaths – 57 – that’s 1 more deaths reported over the past 48 hours (deaths per 100,000 is 59.5)
Testing 7.2 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 10.1 % 

Gwinnett County

Cases – 28,074 – that’s 230 reported over the past 48 hours (1,288 in the past 2 weeks).
Cases per 100,000 – 2,891 cumulative (133 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 414 – That’s 2 more death reported in the past 48 hours (42.6 deaths per 100,000 reported)
Testing – 5.1 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 10.6 %

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 322,925 – that is 2,291 more cases reported in the past 48 hours
ICU admissions –5,363 – that is 27 more admissions in the past 48 hours Hospitalizations – 28,958 – That’s 167 more hospitalizations reported in the past 48 hours, 
Total deaths – 7,162 – That is 56 more deaths reported in the past 48 hours

A total of 3,018,618 viral tests have been performed and 306,554 antibody tests. That is 48,605 viral test results reported in the last 48 hours. Of the viral tests performed collectively, 302,774 (10.0 %) have come back positive and 25,887 (8.4%) antibody tests have come back positive. Today 5.2 % viral tests came back positive.

Walton County Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities (cumulative) No more deaths reported in Walton County nursing homes or assisted living facilities in the last 24 hours.

Gardens of Social Circle – 3 staff members and 2 residents have tested positive. No deaths reported

Great Oak, Monroe – 2 staff members and 1 resident (1 resident reported recovered) at Great Oaks – no deaths reported

Hollander Senior Living, Monroe, 1 confirmed staff case, no deaths – That’s no more staff cases reported in past 24 hours

Magnolia Senior Living – Loganville – (Gwinnett County) has 1 staff member who has tested positive 

Park Place, Monroe – 90 confirmed resident cases, 34 confirmed staff cases, 23 deaths reported  
The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 23 confirmed resident cases, four deaths – 19 recovered 
The Retreat at Loganville: three confirmed resident case, three reported recovered, two staff cases, no deaths 

Social Circle Nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that 23 residents and 13 staff members tested positive for COVID-19 and two resident death were reported.
