COVID-19: Georgia 61 deaths including 1 Park Place, 2 Walton & 4 Gwinnett in last 24 hours

At 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, Walton County reported a total of 12 deaths with 217 cases of COVID-19. That is two more deaths, 21 more cases and seven more hospitalization reported in the last 24 hours. COVID-19 information in this report is a snapshot of the situation at this time.

Walton County

  • Cases – 217
  • Cases per 100,000 – 224.6
  • Total deaths – 12

  • Park Place, Monroe – 70 confirmed resident cases, 26 confirmed staff cases, nine deaths reported
  • The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building –  13 confirmed resident cases, four deaths
  • The Retreat at Loganville: one confirmed resident case, no staff cases, no deaths

Gwinnett County

  • Cases – 3,307 3,226 –  that’s 109 new cases reported in the past 24 hours
  • Cases per 100,000 – 332.2
  • Total deaths – 125 – that’s four more reported in the past 24 hours
  • Hospitalized – 586  That is 25 more hospitalizations reported in the last 24 hours

Georgia

  • Confirmed cases – 43,983 – that is 683 more cases reported in the last 24 hours
  • ICU admissions – 1,728  – that’s 43 more reported in the past 24 hours
  • Hospitalizations –7,640  – That’s 133 more hospitalizations reported in the past 24 hours
  • Total deaths – 1,871 – That is 61 more deaths reported in the last 24 hours.
  • Total tests – 514,945 – That’s 1,400 more tests in the last 24 hours.
