COVID-19: Georgia 65; Gwinnett 5; Walton 0 deaths reported in the past 24 hours

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health at 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4, 2020. Gwinnett County is reporting five more deaths and Walton County is reporting no more deaths in the past 24 hours. Georgia is reporting 65 more deaths and 2,132 more cases in the last 24 hours. 

Walton County

Cases – 1,562 – 12 reported in the past 24 hours – 209 in the past 2 weeks .
Cases per 100,000 – 1,618 cumulative (218 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 48 – that’s no more deaths reported over the past 24 hours (deaths per 100,000 is 50.1)
Testing 10.0 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 10.5 % 

Gwinnett County

Cases – 24,870 763 – that’s 107 reported in the past 24 hours 
Cases per 100,000 – 2,561 cumulative (218 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 351– That’s 5 more deaths reported in the last 24 hours (36.1 deaths per 100,000 reported)
Testing – 7.1 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 11.7%

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 279,354 – that is 2,132 more cases reported in the past 24 hours
ICU admissions –4,664 – that’s 36 more reported in the past 24 hours Hospitalizations – 25,402 That’s 143 more hospitalizations reported in the past 24 hours, 
Total deaths – 5,931 – That is 65 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours

A total of 2,432,125 viral tests have been performed and 282,093 antibody tests. That is 21,460 viral test results reported in the last 24 hours. Of the viral tests performed collectively, 254,680 (10.5 %) have come back positive and 21,947 (7.8%) antibody tests have come back positive. Today 1,823 or 8.5 % viral tests came back positive.

Great Oak, Monroe – 2 staff members and 2 resident at Great Oaks – no more reported in the past 24 hours as testing positive 

Magnolia Senior Living – Loganville – (Gwinnett County) has 1 staff member who has tested positive – no more reported in the past 24 hours

Park Place, Monroe – 90 confirmed resident cases, 34 confirmed staff cases, 23 deaths reported – that is no more staff member to test positive in the past 24 hours
The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 23 confirmed resident cases, four deaths – 19 recovered – That’s no more confirmed case in the past 24 hours
The Retreat at Loganville: three confirmed resident case, three reported recovered, two staff cases, no deaths – That’s no more confirmed case in the past 24 hours

Hollander Senior Living, Monroe, 1 confirmed staff case, no deaths – That’s no more staff cases reported in past 24 hours

Social Circle Nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that 20 residents and 10 staff members tested positive for COVID-19 and one resident death was reported. That is no more residents or staff members reported positive in the past 24 hours.
