COVID-19: Georgia 78; Gwinnett 5, Walton 0 deaths reported in the last 24 hours

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2020. Gwinnett County is reporting five more deaths and Walton County is reporting no more deaths in the past 24 hours. Georgia is reporting 78 more deaths and 3,254 more cases in the last 24 hours.  However, the 78 deaths is likely to be a spike in reporting after the weekend since the previous two days reported 5 and 3 deaths respectively.

Walton County

Cases – 669 – That’s 20 more cases reported in the last 24 hours
Cases per 100,000 –698.2
Total deaths – 32 – that’s no more deaths reported over the past 24 hours
Hospitalized – 78 – that’s one more hospitalization reported over the past 24 hours

Walton County Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities (cumulative) No more deaths or cases reported in Walton County nursing homes or assisted living facilities in the last 24 hours.

Great Oak, Monroe – 1 staff member at Great Oaks has tested positive in the past 24 hours

Park Place, Monroe – 90 confirmed resident cases, 34 confirmed staff cases, 23 deaths reported – that is no more staff member to test positive in the past 24 hours
The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 18 confirmed resident cases, four deaths – that’s no more confirmed case in the past 24 hours This listing has been removed from the report.

Social Circle Nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that one resident tested positive for COVID-19, no deaths and one person recovered. 

Gwinnett County

Cases – 13,878 – that’s 264 more cases reported in the past 24 hours
Cases per 100,000 – 1,429
Total deaths – 204 – that’s five more death reported over the past 24 hours
Hospitalized – 1,607 – That is 70 more hospitalizations reported in the last 24 hours

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 148,88– that is 3,254 more cases reported in the past 24 hours
ICU admissions – 2,829 – that’s 75 more reported in the past 24 hours Hospitalizations – 15,494 – That’s 447 more hospitalizations reported in the past 24 hours
Total deaths – 3,254 – That is 78 more death reported in the past 24 hours

A total of 1,25,291 viral tests have been performed and 203,234 antibody tests. That is 21,510 viral test results – reported in the last 24 hours. Of the viral tests performed collectively, 136,015 (10.5 %) have come back positive and 12,022 (5.9 %) antibody tests have come back positive.
