COVID-19: Georgia 82, Gwinnett 6, Walton County 0 deaths reported in past 48 hours

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2020. Gwinnett County is reporting six more deaths and Walton County is reporting no more deaths in the past 48 hours. Georgia is reporting 82 more deaths and 7,592 more cases in the last 48 hours. 

Walton County

Cases – 1,133 – 56 in the past 48 hours and 333 in the last two weeks.
Cases per 100,000 – 1162
Total deaths – 39 – that’s no more deaths reported over the past 48 hours
Hospitalized – 125 – That’s 5 more hospitalizations reported in the past 48 hours. 

Gwinnett County

Cases – 19,808 19,187 – that’s 621 reported in the past 48 hours 3,996 more cases reported in the past two weeks
Cases per 100,000 – 2,040
Total deaths – 260 – That’s 6 more deaths reported in the last 48 hours
Hospitalized – 2142 – that’s 65 more reported in the past 48 hours

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 216,596 – that is 7,592 more cases reported in the past 48 hours 
ICU admissions – 3,647 – That’s 105 more ICU admissions in the past 48 hours Hospitalizations – 20,282 That’s 346 more hospitalizations reported in the past 36 hours
Total deaths – 4,117 – That is 82 more death reported in the past 48 hours

A total of 1,835,048 viral tests have been performed and 241.290 antibody tests. That is 37,082 viral test results reported in the last 24 hours. Of the viral tests performed collectively, 199,610 (10.9 %) have come back positive and 16,503 (6.9 %) antibody tests have come back positive.

The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 23 confirmed resident cases, four deaths – 12 recovered – That’s no more confirmed case in the past 24 hours
The Retreat at Loganville: two confirmed resident case, one reported recovered, two staff cases, no deaths – That’s no more confirmed case in the past 24 hours

Hollander Senior Living, Monroe, 1 confirmed staff case, no deaths – That’s no more staff cases reported in past 24 hours

Social Circle Nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that 8 residents and 9 staff members tested positive for COVID-19 and one resident death was reported. That is no more residents and 3 more staff members reported positive in the past 24 hours.
