COVID-19: Georgia COVID-19 deaths surpass 2000

At 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, Walton County reported a total of 12 deaths with 265 cases of COVID-19. That is no more deaths, three more cases and no more hospitalizations reported in the last 24 hours. COVID-19 information in this report is a snapshot of the situation at this time. These results are cumulative.

Park Place, Monroe – 84 confirmed resident cases, 26 confirmed staff cases, 12 deaths reported
The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 13 confirmed resident cases, four deaths
The Retreat at Loganville: one confirmed resident case, no staff cases, no deaths. This was at May 29, 2020. These will not be updated again until June 1, 2020.

Gwinnett County

Cases – 3,769 3,733  – that’s 36 new cases reported in the past 24 hours
Cases per 100,000 – 388.1
Total deaths – 127 – that’s one more death reported in the past 24 hours
Hospitalized – 623  – That is two more hospitalizations reported in the last 24 hours

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 46,331 – that is 468 more cases reported in the last 24 hours
ICU admissions –1,789 – that’s four more reported in the past 24 hours
Hospitalizations –7,927 – That’s 13 more hospitalizations reported in the past 24 hours
Total deaths – 1,984 – That is 20 more deaths reported in the last 24 hours.
Total tests – 532,007  – That’s 7,634 more tests in the last 24 hours. These tests include 84,803 serology (antibody) tests reported to the DPH.
