COVID-19: Georgia, Gwinnett, Walton graphs show decline in cases over the past two weeks

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2020. Gwinnett County is reporting three more deaths and Walton County is reporting one more death in the past 24 hours. Georgia is reporting 107 more deaths and 2,236 more cases in the last 24 hours. 

Walton County

Cases – 1,366 – 5 in the past 24 hours.
Cases per 100,000 – 1,431 cumulative (245 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 44 – that’s one more death reported over the past 24 hours (deaths per 100,000 45.9)
Testing 10.8 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 10.6 % 

Gwinnett County

Cases – 23,411 – that’s 315 reported in the past 24 hours 
Cases per 100,000 – 2,411 cumulative (286 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 309 – That’s three more deaths reported in the last 24 hours (31.8 deaths per 100,000 reported)
Testing – 8.9 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 12.1%

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 258,354 – that is 2,236 more cases reported in the past 24 hours
ICU admissions – 4,322 – That’s 50 more ICU admissions in the past 24 hours Hospitalizations – 23,717 That’s 292 more hospitalizations reported in the past 24 hours, 
Total deaths – 5,262 – That is 107 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours

A total of 2,230,850 viral tests have been performed and 270,000 antibody tests. That is 25,669 viral test results reported in the last 24 hours. Of the viral tests performed collectively, 237,435 (10.6 %) have come back positive and 20,242 (7.5%) antibody tests have come back positive. Today, 7,8 % came back positive.

Great Oak, Monroe – 2 staff members and 2 resident at Great Oaks is reported in the past 24 hours as testing positive – that is one more resident

Magnolia Senior Living – Loganville – (Gwinnett County) has 1 staff member who has tested positive

Park Place, Monroe – 90 confirmed resident cases, 34 confirmed staff cases, 23 deaths reported – that is no more staff member to test positive in the past 24 hours
The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 23 confirmed resident cases, four deaths – 17 recovered – That’s no more confirmed case in the past 24 hours
The Retreat at Loganville: three confirmed resident case, three reported recovered, two staff cases, no deaths – That’s no more confirmed case in the past 24 hours

Hollander Senior Living, Monroe, 1 confirmed staff case, no deaths – That’s no more staff cases reported in past 24 hours

Social Circle Nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that 17 residents and 10 staff members tested positive for COVID-19 and one resident death was reported. That is five more residents and one more staff members reported positive in the past 24 hours.
