The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health at 3 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2020. Gwinnett County as well as Walton County are each reporting more deaths in the last 24 hours – one in Walton County and three in Gwinnett County. Statewide Georgia is reporting 43 more deaths. Georgia is reporting 733 more cases, but that should be viewed in the context that 11,763 more test results were reported in the same period.
Since opening up following the shutdown, Georgia has dropped from 11th in the nation for the number of deaths reported to 13th and from 12th to 17th in the nation for deaths per 1 million in population.
Walton County
Cases –327– That is three more cases in the past 24 hours
Cases per 100,000 –341.3.2
Total deaths – 23 – that’s one more death reported in the past 24 hours
Hospitalized – 54 – that’s no more hospitalization in the past 24 hours
Walton County Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities (cumulative) No more cases or deaths were reported in Walton County nursing homes or assisted living facilities over the weekend.
Park Place, Monroe – 90 confirmed resident cases, 33 confirmed staff cases, 21 deaths reported – that is no more deaths reported and one more case reported
The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 13 confirmed resident cases, four deaths –

Gwinnett County
Cases – 5,308 – that’s 136 new cases reported in the past 24 hours
Cases per 100,000 – 546.6
Total deaths – 155 – that’s three deaths reported in the past 24 hours
Hospitalized – 783 774 – That is nine more hospitalizations reported in the last 24 hours
Georgia
Confirmed cases – 58,414 – that is 733 more cases reported in the past 24 hours
ICU admissions – 2043 – that’s nine more reported in the past 24 hours
Hospitalizations – 9,248 – That’s 74 more hospitalizations reported in the past 24 hours
Total deaths – 2,494 – That is 43 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours.
