COVID-19: Walton cases 16; Georgia death toll 201 ; Confirmed cases 6160 with 1239 hospitalized

16  cases reported in Walton County – no deaths reported at this time

The death toll in Georgia as a result of CoVID-19 is now 201 compared to the 184 deaths that were reported at noon on April 3, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health. That means that 17 people died as a result of COVID-19 in Georgia in the last 24 hours. The number of confirmed cases is now 6160 of which 1239 are hospitalized. This is the latest update a little before noon on Saturday, April 4, 2020.

Walton County has 16  reported cases and no deaths. Casey Collins and his mother, Shirley, are currently quarantined in Loganville after Collins’s father passed away in Gwinnett Medical Center Saturday. It is unclear at this time how far behind GDPH is in reporting local statistics or if this case was possibly reported in the Gwinnett deaths which currently stand at 8 with 364 reported cases.
