Entering autos continues to be a problem during summer months

Although entering autos can be a problem at any time, it tends to be more prevalent during the summer months. That was again the case this summer when there were a slew of entering autos beginning in May. Despite some arrests, people still had valuables stolen out of their vehicles and police are asking people not to make their vehicles an easy target.

“Please, Please……….. take your values, guns, keys, tablets, phones etc., out of your car when at home and or secure them out of sight and locked inside of your car. Almost all of our entering autos happen because the car is unlocked and a very easy target for this crime,” Monroe Police Department wrote on its Facebook page at the end of May.
