Fiber Arts Show Winners Announced
Congratulations to all the artists who had works accepted into our Second Annual Fiber Arts Show.  This show was a juried show – and the jurors were a discerning bunch!  Getting into this show was a big accomplishment.

Around 50 art lovers and artists attended last night’s reception.  A scrumptious wine and cheese buffet was provided by MWCA’s Gallery Committee, chaired by Shirley Yagrich

Many thanks to committee members and other volunteers who helped in various ways — from hanging the show to making the awards, providing our reception yummies and helping in the shop and gallery:  Barbara Barth, Sandra Blanchard, Chris Goga, Jill Lingerfelt, Susan Pelham, Stephanie Ruby, Maribeth Schmeltzer, Carrie Soles, Mary Ellen Vogel, Trisha Watson and Shirley Yagrich
The judge of the show was Jennifer Crenshaw, chair of fabric design at the Lamar Dodd School of Art at UGA.  At last night’s Awards Reception, Ms. Crenshaw emphasized how difficult it was to make her selections, based on the quality and variety of the works in our show.  But select, she did, and we are so very proud to announce our winning pieces and the artists who created them …
