Kristen Henshaw of Fitness Kula, LLC is inviting the community to come out on Friday night, March. 1, 2019 for a Glow Party in support of Paradox Spay Neuter Clinic. Once a month, Kulu has a Friday Glow Party into a Force for Good in the Community and this month it is in support this low-cost spay/neuter clinic that specializes in helping to keep down the pet over-population and the resultant high euthanasia rates.

“A lot of gyms do “charity check-ins”, which are great! I decided to bring that thought a little closer to ‘home,'” said Kristen Henshaw of Fitness Kula in Loganville. Each month, we choose a charity in Walton County and the surrounding counties – but especially Walton County – to raise funds or items needed. I already had once-a-month ‘glow parties’…..dance parties on the first Friday of the month where we turn on the disco lights and have some fitness fun……so I thought, ‘why not combine the two.'”
Henshaw said through the Glow Parties Fitness Kula has already supported several causes in and around the Loganville area, with a strong focus on Walton County.
“We raised money for the Alzheimer’s Walk, collected snacks and funds for nurses who are caring for chemo patients at Gwinnett Medical Center, collected items for hurricane victims in Florida that were being collected by a friend in Winder, collected new toys for the FISH of Walton County for Christmas, collected canned goods and other food items for the FISH Community Food Pantry, collected items for the Pregnancy Resource Center in Monroe, and now this month we all decided on Paradox in Walnut Grove on behalf of the animals in need in Walton County,” she said. “Kula plans on continuing raising money and items needed for local charities and using our resources to help those in need.”
This Friday, Fitness Kula Fitness is collecting various items that Paradox needs to help its shelter animals, such as food, blankets, dog and cat toys, leashes and collars, cleaning supplies, and more. Kula is collecting these items all this week including on Friday, March 1, and through March 6 with a delivery of March 7 at Paradox.
“There is no actual cost, just bring the items to donate, OR if you feel compelled to donate money it will all go to the charity,” Henshaw said. “We will have disco lights, fun music, dancing, and ALL are welcome!”
The event is family-friendly. You’re invited to bring friends and family for a fun evening for a great cause. The party kicks off at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2019, at Fitness Kula, 2860 Highway 78, Suites A and B, in Loganville, Ga. 30052.
