Gwinnett County Fire Services deal with influx of wind-related incidents due to TS Zeta

Gwinnett County firefighters dealt with many storm-related calls early Thursday morning. Fortunately, the Loganville area of the county seems to have been largely spared the damage.

Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services released the following information:

Gwinnett County firefighters began responding to an influx of wind-related incidents just before 5 a.m. on Thursday. The majority of calls included wires and trees down in the roadway and on structures. An adult occupant was taken to the hospital non-emergency around 6:00 a.m. after a tree fell on a house on the 1100 block of Smoke Hill Lane, NE in Hoschton. Firefighters freed the occupant that was inside the house when the tree crashed through the roof. There is extensive damage to the home. Fire Command staff worked closely with emergency dispatchers to monitor call volume and update unit deployments as the storm moved through.

o   600 block of Clemson Lane, NE in Lawrenceville
