Gwinnett County PD seek the public’s help in identifying rape suspect

(Duluth, Ga., Nov. 17, 2020) – The Gwinnett County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in an alleged violent rape. 

According to a press release, on Sept. 20, the victim was walking on Pleasant Hill Road in Gwinnett County when she was grabbed from behind and attacked by an unknown male suspect. She was dragged into the wood line on the 2500 block of Pleasant Hill Road where she was sexually assaulted by the suspect, sustaining serious injuries along with the sexual assault.

The suspect is described as a 20’s to 30’s black male with dreadlocks.  He was wearing khaki pants, a white striped shirt, and he had backpack.  A sketch artist was able to work with the victim to create a photograph of the suspect. Detectives are asking for the public’s help in either identifying the male or providing information on the case.
