Gwinnett County PD seek witnesses in overnight double homicide by vehicle

Update

Update #1: Jose Basulto (40-year-old male) has been arrested for striking the three victims in this case.  He has been transported to the Gwinnett County Jail.  The names of the three victims are being withheld until investigators can make contact with their next of kin.

(Norcross, Georgia)  Gwinnett County Police Department is seeking witnesses in an alleged double homicide by vehicle in a billiards parking lot in Norcross at about 2 a.m. this morning, June 9, 2020. Two men were hit and killed by a vehicle and a third man was injured in the incident. It was allegedly the result of a dispute inside the bar prior to the incident.

According to a press release from GCPD, officers responded to a call of a pedestrian accident in the parking lot of the Corona Billiards at 5265 Jimmy Carter Boulevard in unincorporated Norcross.  They arrived to find two men deceased in the parking lot and a third man was transported to a local hospital.

Witnesses followed the driver who fled the scene. An off-duty officer working security at a nearby convenience store was able to take the suspect into custody about a mile away on South Norcross Tucker Road just past Old Norcross Tucker Road.

The nature of the dispute is still being investigated and although the suspect is in custody, investigators would still like to speak with witnesses. They are encouraged to call GCPD detectives at 770-513-5300.  Case Number:  20-042610, 20-042613, 20-042614
