Gwinnett police officer struck by vehicle directing school traffic

Gwinnett County Police Department report that Monday morning, Sept. 25, 2017, an officer was struck by a vehicle while directing traffic at Norcross High School.

“The officer was not seriously injured and refused to be transported by ambulance to the hospital. The driver remained at the scene and is being issued citations for Failure to Obey Officer Directing Traffic and Driver’s License Not on Person,” Cpl. Deon Washington said in a press release.

The officer’s name was not released at this time.
