Gwinnett Police seek information on a shooting that has resulted in the death of a juvenile

(Lawrenceville, Georgia) Gwinnett County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating an incident that happen on Bernice Dr. in the unincorporated Lawrenceville area that resulted in a juvenile being shot. The juvenile did not survive.

According to a press release from GCPD, at about 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 8, officers assigned to the Bay Creek Precinct responded to a person shot call.  While en route they were advised that the patient may have been transported to a hospital by someone at the scene. Local hospitals were notified of a possible gunshot wound victim arriving and shortly after arriving on scene officers were advised that a juvenile male had arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound.  That juvenile died in the hospital.  

CSI is processing the scene and Detectives are still working on a timeline of events leading up to the homicide. No suspect description is available at this time.
