Georgia Rep. Brett Harrell (R-Snellville) has announced that he will be seeking reelection for his seat in the Georgia General Assembly in 2018. Harrell represents House District 106, which includes parts of Loganville.
“The 2018 Session will conclude my eighth year representing the citizens of the 106th District. It has been a tremendous honor, an awesome responsibility, and a lot of fun too,” Harrell said in a preview of the 2018 Georgia General Assembly, which gets under way on Monday, Jan. 8, 2018. “With your continued support, I will seek reelection in 2018. The Primary is May 22 and the General Election November 6, 2018.”
Harrell went on to say he serves in several key and influential positional at the state Capitol.
“I currently serve as Vice Chairman of the Rules Committee that considers all legislation (House and Senate) prior to putting any bill to a vote on the House floor. I also serve as Vice Chairman of the Regulated Industries and Budget and Fiscal Affairs Oversight Committees. I Chair the Rail and Transit Subcommittee of House Transportation and the Ad Valorem Tax (Property Tax) Subcommittee of Ways and Means,” Harrell wrote.
