There is just one week left for the Hometown Teams Sports Exhibit at the Monroe Museum and the Monroe Walton Center for the Arts. If you haven’t seen it yet, this weekend may be just the time. You also will get the opportunity for a performance by the renowned Monroe Girls Corps. The Corps will march up Court Street, to the front of the Historic Courthouse singing “Monroe, Georgia,” the official song of Monroe written by Corps direct, the late Wayne Shields. Mrs. Wayne Shields will be introduced, along with other sports teams from Monroe.

You can them drop in on the Smithsonian Hometown Teams sports Exhibit. It is scheduled to leave Monroe on Oct. 28.
