Huey Magoo’s, the Florida based chicken restaurant founded in 2004, will begin serving in Loganville from 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019. This is the first Huey Magoo’s restaurant franchise in the state of Georgia and is opened by long-time Loganville residents Dean Thompson, Derry Thompson and Alex Larson.
They, their families and Huey Magoo’s president and CEO Andy Howard, were on hand Tuesday for the official ribbon cutting and for some in the community to get a taste of what they claim to be the “best chicken tenders in Florida.” They hope to earn the same reputation in Georgia. The general consensus from those who got to taste the items on the menu at the ribbon-cutting appears to be that the reputation should not be hard to earn at all.
Howard said the plan is for this to just be the first of some 50 more Huey Magoo’s restaurants the trio hopes to open in Georgia going forward.
Huey Magoo’s in Loganville is located at 4630 Atlanta Highway in the old Pizza Hut location. Huey Magoo’s signature meals include “grilled, hand-breaded or “sauced” premium chicken tenders, farm-fresh salads, sandwiches and wraps, available as individual meals, meals for two and family-sized options. Each tender is always made fresh, all-natural, with no antibiotics ever, no hormones, no steroids and no preservatives.”
The Facebook page draws attention to Huey Magoos calling to give back to the community and claims it gives back a portion of its profits to selected not-for-profit organizations and community groups.
