A group of students from Ms. Jackson’s Walker Park Elementary School kindergarten class had an exciting visit Friday from one of the parents who happens to be a driver for J.B. Hunt. Garret Jones got to deliver $1,000 worth of school supplies to the school his son attends and the whole class got to take a tour of his truck. Needless to say, the favorite part of the tour was the opportunity, which all those who wanted it got, to pull the cord and sound the air horn.
The event was part of J.B. Hunt’s Adopt-a-Class program. The Adopt-a-Class focuses on giving back to schools across the country. J.B. Hunt drivers were asked to nominate their children’s or grandchildren’s classrooms to receive supplies. Over 30 classrooms were selected nationwide. This is J.B. Hunt’s 7th year of sponsoring their Adopt-a-Class program.
