Jillian Chamberlain of Loganville, GA, inducted into UK’s Alpha Lambda Delta Chapter

LEXINGTON, KY (08/04/2020)– The University of Kentucky’s Alpha Lambda Delta inducted 51 College of Arts & Sciences students during the spring 2020 semester. Among them was Jillian Chamberlain of Loganville, GA, with a major in Political Science.

The induction ceremony, originally scheduled for March, was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Celebrating academic excellence among first-year students, Alpha Lambda Delta was revived on UK’s campus in 2019 after being dormant for several years. Alpha Lambda Delta has more than 280 chapters nationally, and the society has initiated more than 1 million students.

UK’s Alpha Lambda Delta chapter is supported by the Chellgren Center for Undergraduate Excellence and the Office of Nationally Competitive Awards in the Division of Student and Academic Life.

Home to 19 academic departments that offer major degrees in 27 disciplines and 36 minors, the College of Arts and Sciences provides education in fundamentals to every undergraduate student at the University of Kentucky and builds foundations for advanced study in every field.
