On Nov. 2, you’re invited to visit downtown Monroe for the annual Light up the Night. There will be music, art on display by the local artists and the city takes on the Holiday feel with lighting up of the Christmas lights.
Local shops will be open to assist in displaying the work of local artists and giving the community an opportunity to get some early Christmas shopping done.
Downtown merchants will follow up with open house from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday (some stores will remain open until 8 p.m.) and from 1 – 5 p.m. on Sunday with a Holiday Open House – offering the perfect opportunity for shoppers to get a head start on holiday shopping.
