LMS students score well at state FFA contest

The Loganville Middle School Floriculture Career Development team competed at the State Contest on Feb. 9, 2019, at Fort Valley State University. The team placed 5th overall and was the highest scoring middle school team in the State! The Junior Floriculture Career Development Event is designed to stimulate an interest in the floriculture field for students and to prepare them for the more advanced Floriculture CDE offered to high school students through the FFA.

Avery Smith competed in the Lawnmower operations and Maintenance Career Development Event and placed 4th overall at the State Competition. The Middle School Lawn Mower and Equipment Operations & Maintenance Contest is designed to develop skills in operating lawnmowers and various pieces of equipment safely, as well as maintaining the mower in a safe and productive matter.
