16 tons worth of material collected in 2019 effort
The City of Loganville is proud to sponsor its annual Great American Cleanup Dump Day Event from 8 a.m. to noon on June 27. Items will be collected at the Department of Public Utilities, located at 4891 Highway 81 N., Loganville. Those dropping items off are encouraged to enter the facility at H.O. Byrd Road.
The event serves as an opportunity for Loganville residents to bring in unwanted items from their home, such as old furniture, appliances or building materials. Tires, paint or any types of chemicals will not be accepted and ID will be required to show proof of being a Loganville city resident.
“Last year we had another successful event where 76 residents participated and we collected more than 16 tons worth of trash,” said Chris Yancey, director of the City of Loganville’s Department of Public Utilities. “A lot of folks spent their time at home cleaning their garages and around their homes, so I expect this year will continue the growth trend of this event. And we are happy to provide this opportunity to meet a need for our residents.”
