Loganville expected to support IGA supporting a referendum for a 2021-2024 T-SPLOST

The City of Loganville will have its June 2020 work session in person, at 6.30 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2020, at City Hall, located at 4,303 Lawrenceville Road. The City initially announced that it would have the meeting at the Rock Gym to make for additional space to social distance. However, since some planning and development items are on the agenda and they were originally announced to be heard at City Hall, the location has been changed back to City Hall. 

On the consent agenda is an approval of an Inter-governmental Agreement between Walton County and the rest of the cities therein to put out a call for a referendum on the November 2020 ballot for a Transportation Special Local Option Sales Tax. If approved, this is expected to raise 60 million over the four years from 2021 to 2024, earmarked specifically for transportation projects. The City of Loganville’s portion of the funds raised would be 10,193% estimated to be $6,115,800.
