Loganville to play today for a place in high school state baseball finals

After again splitting a double header in the opening games, Loganville takes on Starrs Mill today in game 3 of the semi finals for a shot at the title of the 2017 Georgia High School Baseball state Championship.

The Stars Mill Panthers shut out the Devils in the first game Wednesday after putting one on the board in the second inning for a final of 0-1. Loganville came back in the second game, holding the Panthers to just one run in the third inning, putting two on the board themselves and a third in the fourth inning for a final of 1-3.

The two teams face each other again today in Fayetteville for a place in the finals next week. The winner will take on the Wayne County Yellow Jackets in the finals on May 25, 2017.
