Minimal damage done to two local restaurants hit by vehicles Sunday

Public safety officials in both Loganville and Monroe were called out to wrecks involving a vehicle and a restaurant on Sunday. There were no injuries and just minimal damage in both instances.

In Monroe, it was reported that the accident happened at 7:15 a.m. at 709 West Spring Street, Huddle House, when a child inside the vehicle pulled the shifter out of park. This caused the front bumper of the vehicle to strike a brick pillar on the outside of the building.

In Loganville, it was reported that an elderly gentleman hit the McDonald’s building at a very low speed, reportedly causing minor property damage. No charges were filed.
