Monroe City Council to vote on 2020 Millage rate at Tuesday’s meeting

There is no increase in the millage rate for Monroe residents this year. In fact, there is a decrease of 0.214 mills. However, due to new growth in the digest, even with the decrease in the millage rate the city will collect an extra $143,275 over 2019 if collected at 100 %. The millage rate to be vote on is 7.588 mills at the full rollback rate.

This is the only item requiring acton at the Monroe City Council meeting tonight, Aug. 4, 2020. The meeting is at Monroe City Hall, beginning at 6 p.m. tonight. The public is invited to attend. The full agenda follows.
